Use the scores. Report scores honestly. Don't scrape the site wholesale. That's most of it.
What this site is
Kentucky Football Scoreboard publishes scores, schedules, standings, and box scores for Kentucky high school football. It is operated by Matt Stearsman as an independent publication and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, any school, or any school district. Where school names appear, they identify the team being reported on and nothing more.
Where the scores come from
Coaches, athletic directors, media, and fans send them in. People holding a school's reporting code publish directly; everything else is reviewed first. That makes this site fast, and it also means a score can be wrong.
Treat what you read here as a good-faith report, not an official record. The official record belongs to the schools and the KHSAA. Do not rely on this site for anything where being wrong would cost you — eligibility, seeding, records, or wagering of any kind.
Found a mistake? Send the correction or email matt@kyhssports.com. We fix errors quickly and without argument.
Reporting scores
By submitting a score or a box score, you agree that:
- You believe it to be accurate.
- You are not deliberately posting a false or joke result.
- You have the right to share it — a box score means you were at the game, work for one of the schools, or are covering it.
- We may publish, edit, correct, or remove what you send.
School reporting codes are meant for coaches, athletic directors, team staff, and credentialed media. Don't post codes publicly, and don't use one for a school you have nothing to do with. We reset codes that get misused.
Repeatedly submitting false scores gets your access blocked. If it's done to embarrass a school or a kid, we'll pass what we have to the school.
Student athletes
Only holders of a school's reporting code can attach a player's name to a statistic here. Never submit anything about a student athlete beyond their name and what they did in the game — no contact details, no photographs, no academic or medical information.
Any player, parent, guardian, or school official can have a name removed by emailing matt@kyhssports.com. We don't require a reason. See the Privacy Policy.
Using what's here
Scores are facts and nobody owns them. Quote them, read them on the air, print them in your paper, put them in your newsletter. A link back is appreciated but not required.
What we do ask you not to do:
- Automated bulk copying — scrapers, crawlers beyond normal search engine indexing, or anything that hammers the site.
- Republishing the site's content wholesale as though it were your own product.
- Anything that degrades the site for the people trying to check a score on a Friday night.
If you want the data in bulk — a newspaper roundup, a research project, a radio show — just ask. The answer is usually yes and we'll send you a clean file instead of you writing a scraper.
The site's own design, code, and written text remain the property of the operator.
Advertising and sponsors
Ads and sponsor listings do not imply that we endorse the advertiser, or that the advertiser endorses us. We are not responsible for what happens on sites you reach by clicking an ad. Sponsorship never affects which games we cover or how we report them.
Availability
This is a small site run by a small operation. It may go down, especially on a busy Friday night. We'll do our best, but we don't promise uptime, and we don't promise the site will exist forever.

The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from reliance on anything published here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top tells you when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
